A disapointing year in Superbowl ads

For the most part…dreck!   If you must pay millions for your 30 second spot, do something memorable with it will ya?

Ok, the e-trade baby was interesting, and the bud light firebreathing and flying bits cajoled a smile out of me.  The Dalmatian training the Clydesdale was good, though not quite the tear jerker of past years.

The rest was pretty much fell by the wayside.   Even the goDaddy ad was weak, weak, weak.

This add from Audi did get my attention with the clever riff on the Godfather…

    The R8 ad was the one that stuck out the most to me – although not because of the ad 😉 Sweet exhaust note…

    Guess what! I saw one on cary Parkway just the other day. Amazing looking and, as Tim noted, the exhaust had a wonderful sound. Unfortunately I was in my Toyota Pickup and not my Evolution MR.
