Is cardboard Atkins approved?

Usually, I don’t do these kind of blog entries, but it’s Friday, and I saw this come accross the screen and I just can’t resist.

Food made of cardboard waste

“…Squares of cardboard picked from the ground are first soaked to a pulp in a plastic basin of caustic soda — a chemical base commonly used in manufacturing paper and soap — then chopped into tiny morsels with a cleaver. Fatty pork and powdered seasoning are stirred in.”

Wonder if it’s low carb?

Our media focuses on”big fat”, and our fast food addictions, but in condemnation,  it doesn’t take into account the relative nutritional value of what people in other places may be eating.

Maybe I’ll have a Big Mac for lunch after all - don’t tell me what’s in it, ignorance is bliss.

I knew there was a reason not to touch stories like this. They turn out to be false – It was debunked yesterday. The story was staged by the reporting, having hired actors to make the “food” while on “hidden” camera. Others have sold out their integrity for a story before – recently on a major US network in fact.

Here’s a link to the debunking of the story.
